ARTist

Sabina Duckja JUNG

As a contemporary artist, I explore the unseen layers of human experience—identity, emotion, and the tension between outer appearances and inner truths. Through acrylic on canvas, I give form to the subtle, often unspoken forces that shape our lives. My work has been exhibited in major Korean art institutions and recognized with numerous awards for its emotional depth and conceptual clarity.

Are we happy—truly happy—in this modern age?
An age where science reaches beyond the stars,
where life is replicated,
and dreams once confined to fiction now blur into reality.

In such a world, what meaning remains in art?
Why paint, when machines compute faster than thought,
and virtual beauty is built with code?

Yet I paint—because I must.

Not in defiance of progress,
but because beneath every innovation,
the human soul still longs to feel.

We are not beings of logic alone.
We are shaped by love, by fear, by wonder.
Emotion is not a weakness—it is a signature.
Only humans weep at beauty,
rage at injustice,
tremble at the unknown.

Art gives form to this invisible truth.
It reminds us that to be human
is not merely to know—but to feel.

Who is real

Who is real?

In a world of mimicry, even dogs wear masks. This piece questions the chase to become someone else—asking, beneath the surface, who is truly real?

Life as a woman

Amid dishes and daily chores, she rises—a creator, a commander. This painting honors the quiet power and dual strength of the woman as both nurturer and visionary.

Gesture

A handshake, a peace sign—gestures of unity. But behind them, truths are often veiled. This work reveals the silent space between intention and reality.

BOSS

An elephant mind with a bulldog mouth—commanding, unmoved. ‘Boss’ explores the dual nature of leadership: wisdom dressed in intimidation.

“Through this control of intensity and simplicity, she boldly captures an inner consciousness rooted in deliberate choice and self-awareness. With explosive dynamism that seems to melt the very surface of the canvas, the work opens up an intensely condensed inner world—inviting the viewer into a space of deeper harmony and richly layered depth.”

–Kang SeongWon

“The colors and brushstrokes are already impressive—but what truly astonished me was the way the artist completes each piece. Such mastery is clearly born from an immense amount of dedicated work, and it shows: the current state of her art is nothing short of perfection.”
–Park WooChan
